Simeon Mellalieu - General Manager, Ketchum Hong Kong

Simeon is responsible for managing the overall business of Ketchum's Hong Kong office and driving its development. Simeon also has a strong client focus in his work as the leader of the Corporate and Technology Practice across Ketchum's Greater China network. Simeon provides senior counsel for local, regional and global clients. His expertise lies in corporate positioning and reputation management, brand building, issues and crisis management, and sponsorship and sports marketing. Simeon also heads the Broadcast Media Strategy Group, a unique specialist service established to maximize exposure for clients through the rapidly expanding television media.

Simeon carries with him a wide range of business-to-business, business-to-consumer and crisis communications experience in industry sectors as diverse as aerospace, automotive, gaming, retail, healthcare, technology, petrochemical and consumer finance. His client counsel and uncompromising service quality won him Ketchum's coveted David Drobis Client Service Excellence Award for 2007. His clients past and present include Boeing, Crown Macau, Disney Channel, EDS, FedEx, Flextronics, Ford, Intel, Kodak, Levi Strauss & Co., Lombard Odier, Merck Sharp and Dohme, Motorola, Northwest Airlines, Philips Semiconductors, Rolls-Royce, Shell Aviation, United Airlines and Visa.

Prior to joining Ketchum Simeon worked for specialist broadcast PR agency Bulletin International in London and Hong Kong and started his PR career at tech PR firm Warman & Bannister in Cambridge, UK.

Simeon is British and was educated at University College London where he gained his Ph.D. in archaeology. Prior to his PR career Simeon worked for several years in archaeology, lecturing and conducting research on expeditions throughout Europe and Asia.
