Accreditation Update
Two companies join 25 other leading consultancies in Asia's only national PR accreditation programme
Ogilvy PR and Text 100 Hong Kong have been accredited by the Council of Public Relations Firms of Hong Kong (cPRFhk). The successful accreditation confirms that all of Ogilvy's and Text 100's systems and procedures are fully documented and meet the high standards set by the cPRFhk.
The cPRFhk serves as a voice and forum for the Hong Kong public relations industry and also for the promotion of best practices. In order to define, measure and uphold professional standards, the cPRFhk in Hong Kong was the first industry body to establish an accreditation system for the PR industry in Asia in 2003. Accreditation involves an audit of all of internal systems of the applicant agency conducted by the Hong Kong Quality Assurance Agency (HKQAA), an independent body experienced in auditing ISO and other standards.
"We are proud to receive cPRFhk Accreditation as it proves our strong commitment to providing the highest quality public relations services to our clients in the Asia Pacific region," said Clara Shek, Managing Director, Hong Kong and Southern China, Ogilvy PR. "The rigorous accreditation process compels agencies to ensure their standards and processes are water-tight ¡V and clients should expect nothing less."
In order to be a full member of cPRFhk, firms are required to gain accreditation, and are audited every three years to maintain membership. Other cPRFhk initiatives include a Code of Ethics that covers professional conduct towards the public, media, clients and other organisations and regular industry events.
"Text 100 is proud to a member of cPRfhk and fully endorses all membership requirements as stipulated by the board," said Simon Taylor, Managing Director, Text 100 Hong Kong.
David Croasdale, Chairman of the cPRFhk said: "cPRFhk accreditation is a solid guarantee that member firms meet the highest standards both ethically and operationally in a scheme inspired by ISO9000 quality management standards and backed by an independent internationally recognised worldwide body. Clients, especially in the public sector, are increasingly demanding the stamp of recognition that the cPRf accreditation provides."
